Our Weekend

Our weekend started out by heading to the basketball game Friday night. It started out with the ladies beating Cannon County.  This was a huge win for them and we were pretty excited.  After that we stayed for the boys Varsity game.  During halftime of the boys game they brought last years team out to recognize them. All the boys except for a few showed up due to illness or traveling. The boys received a standing ovation for all of their hard work, dedication, and success last year. It was pretty amazing to watch!

Saturday we played with our little man all day and managed to get some cleaning done.  Then a friend of ours watched Aiden for us Sat night and Adam and I had a date night.  We just had a simple dinner and walked around the mall for a little bit.  It was so nice to have a conversation without being interrupted, or having to go chase him :) We have quite the active little boy!  His stride is getting faster by the day it seems!

Sunday we went to church and then when we got home I snuck upstairs to wrap our little mans gifts.  We celebrated our little Christmas with him.  We gave him a stocking and a few wrapped gifts.  He has gotten quite good at unwrapping the gifts since his last time back on his birthday back in Feb.  He did not seem to understand though that if he keeps reaching in his stocking there would be more in there for him!  That took a few tries!

This week Adam will be running a baseball camp for the younger kids in the area.  We then look forward to spending the holidays with both the Childs and Murawskis.

2013 changes :)

Its weird to think that Christmas is 13 days and then we will be headed into the new year.

This year has had so many amazing memories for us through all different aspects of our lives.  2013 is sure to bring so more changes and amazing times for us!

Adam is officially registered for classes and started his masters program in Education.  This will be about an 18 month program with one class at a time for 5 weeks at a time.  He will continue coaching the baseball team.  His team has been working hard during their workouts and he is ready to get the season going!

Aiden has really taken on a lot of new words this last week or two. As we say new words he seems to pick up on them pretty quickly. He is still stubborn on some on them, will not say please, thank you or more, he prefers to use sign language for those (and I have heard him say them!) He has started swinging the bat and can hit the balls some of the time (none of this with Adam teaching him, I think he has just been around the baseball boys a ton).   Last day or two he has one to start pitching to us and we hold the bat. I must say its pretty cute! :)

We are excited to announce the second biggest blessing we could ask for!  God is blessing us with another baby!  We are expecting baby #2! Baby is due June 28 right after baseball season :)

Family, Elephants and Cars OH MY!

It has been quite a busy 6 weeks or so in this household!  Back in the end of October we had Adam's brother Jason and his family come stay with us for the weekend. They have Lexi, 7 and Addi who he is 6 days older then Aiden, so as you can imagine it was quite a fun weekend!  We took them to the discovery center and then Trick or Trunk at our Church.  Aiden then developed his first ear infection the next day ( I know thats pretty good for a 21 month old!).

The next weekend Adam's younger brother Blake came down to go to their first ever Bear's game.  The game was a little cold for my taste, but it was an amazing win on the Bears part.  Aiden had so much fun wrestling around with his Uncle Blake.

Then about two weeks later we headed up North for Thanksgiving.  We spent the first few days in New Haven and did Thanksgiving day there (first time ever since we have been married!)  It was a blast and all of Adam's siblings were there and the kids all got to play together.  We then headed down to Indy to see my family.  Aiden was able to play with Alex his cousin (they are 6 months and 6 days apart).  They seemed to have alot of fun playing and "sharing" toys together.

Since being home, Aiden got another cold and I spent a week fighting Bronchitis.  Needless to say Aiden has had lots of good moments with daddy this past week!

Now for Aiden Changes:
Over the last month or so Aiden has become a huge daddy's boy.  The moments are nice but its hard to see when he cries at the door when he leaves :(
He is pretty stubborn with some of his words.  He has said more and please but prefers to sign those when he is asking for something.
He is getting a ton better with knowing his body parts.  He knows his hair, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, tongue (which is out all the time courtesy of Childs' traits!), arm, elbow, belly button, leg, knee and feet!
We are working on the colors and he can say blue pretty well (not always sure which one it is though :) )
He does not watch too much TV but the one show he watches is Babar.  Not one I had ever heard of but seems a lot of people watched growing up, pretty cute about elephants and his animal friends.  Most of the time he will watch a few minutes of it and then he is off climbing on to something!
He has started picking up his bat and has started to get a pretty great swing (one proud daddy!), he also does this with the golf clubs (sorry Papa).
And last but not least the little bug has figured out the IPAD. He was able to play a few games before however now he has figured out how to unlock, and he scrolls right to his apps.  He has a Mickey Mouse clubhouse, Chugginton, and a Cars app.  The whole time on Cars he is vroom vrooming with his mouth and trying to drive it.

I think this about updates over our last crazy month or so!  Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Bedtime

So bedtime has been quite rough lately.  Aiden went from going down anywhere between 6:30-7pm and waking up around 6am, occasionally waking up once at night.  It took us over a year to get there but he was a pretty awesome sleeper.  Last week changed it all.  Aiden started waking up about 7 to 9 times a night just screaming.  We would pick him up and he would fall right asleep.  Lay him down in the crib and he would stand up screaming again.  He would not nap in his crib either.  This kid had to be in the deepest sleep before you could lay him down in his crib and he would sleep.  Thankfully Adam was on fall break so we had some good tag teaming going on.  So by the end of the week we were pretty tired and he made it into bed with us ( I know, not good...but he needed sleep and we needed sleep).  He slept great on the pillow and had much more room to stretch around.  So on Monday we decided to take the front of his crib off and make it a toddler bed.

So night one.  Adam lays down with him to go to bed.  Aiden keeps reaching his hand over the side to make sure he is still there and he falls asleep.  This takes about ten minutes, not too bad.  Aiden rolled off the bed twice that night and woke himself up (we are talking maybe a 6inch roll off) and would go right back to sleep after we calmed him down (normally about a min or so).  So first night was a big success compared to how the previous week had been.

Night two.  Again Adam lays on the floor with him as he goes to bed to reassure him that he is in there.  He has to do this about 5 minutes.  We lay two pillows down on the floor at the open part of the bed (so if he rolls off, he rolls onto the pillows).  I go into check on him in right before I go to bed and he is snuggled up on the floor next to his pillows. He never woke himself up when he rolled out, yet just snuggled himself up with his blanket! Too Cute!  We decided to pick him up and lay him back in bed.  (Not our best move!)  It of course woke him up and took him about ten minutes to get back to sleep.  After that he woke up once around 4am and Adam we able to get him back to sleep pretty easily.

Night three.  Again Adam lays on the floor next to Aiden to help him fall asleep.  Aiden grabs his blanket and crawls down to sleep on daddys chest ( I know, too cute!), so Adam puts him back into bed.  A minute later Aiden crawls back down to lay on his chest, Adam tells him to go back to bed so Aiden crawls right back up to bed and falls asleep.  When we go into check on him at bedtime, Aiden again is on the floor, this time with his head on the pillow, snuggled up like a big boy! It was too cute and after the night before, we decided to leave him on the floor.  He woke up around 4am.  When Adam went in there he calmed down right away (he said it seemed like he was scared because he did not know where he was).  Aiden did not do so well after about 20 mins and would not fall asleep, so Adam gave in and brought him to bed.  Not a habit we want to get into!!!  This is only the 3rd time we have ever done it!

So our conclusion....The big boy bed has definitely made a big difference in his sleeping. I think since he is moving around so much he kept bumping into his crib and waking himself up.  Now we need to figure out if he just needs to move to a bigger bed so he has more room and he might sleep better!  Wish us luck on night four!

1st Haircut

We finally decided to break down and get Aiden's first haircut.  After the baseball boys kept calling it a mullet ( so not even close to one) and the pionerette girls were putting it into a ponytail (yes a small one), we decided it was probably time to make the plunge.  So we went to my hairstylist who Aiden knows, and came prepared with a sucker.

We put the fishy cape on and got started.  The first few minutes Aiden sat there quiet, unsure (and so was mommy!), and staring at himself in the mirror.

But my little boy was a pro!  He never cried or got fussy once.  Once she got going after a few minutes he started in on the sucker and sat on mommy's lap the whole time.  Quite a proud mama moment!

We took a little off the top, the ponytail length in the back and shorten it up around the ears.  Afterwards he looked like such a big boy and his hair looked fuller!

He did such an amazing job!

Besides his haircut, we decided to take Aiden to the zoo on Adam's Fall Break.  We drove the short, insanely gorgeous drive to Chattanooga yesterday to take him to the zoo and a park.

Aiden called everything a dog for the most part, but did say bird for the first time! We were very curious about the animals!

We say monkeys
And peacocks in our walkway!

And tried to pet a goat!

A perfect day with my two amazing boys!

Pumpkin Patch :)

Today we took Aiden to the pumpkin patch to pick out our pumpkins. This is the same pumpkin patch that we took Aiden to last year right before we bought our house.  The pumpkin patch is located next door to our neighborhood so we are excited to build this into one of our fall traditions.

We walked over to the pumpkin patch this morning.  When we got there we looked and got sort of close to the goats as daddy tried to point them out to Aiden.

We then headed to the front porch where they had rocking chairs, haystacks, small gourds and we took these pictures.  A gorgeous little area.

We then explored the “corn crib”, a big enclosed area with corn for the kiddos to play.  Think of a big sand box with toys inside.

After playing and exploring other things we were able to head towards the hayride.  The hayride takes about ten minutes out to the pumpkin patch where you are able to pick your own pumpkins out.  We were the only people on our hay ride, which was really nice.  Aiden was not too sure after first.  He wanted to stand and hold on to mommy’s leg.  After a few minutes he was ok to sit next to mommy.  Then proceeded to be intrigued by the straw.  It was so much fun to watch his little brain churn and try to figure out what exactly he not only had in his hand but was also sitting on.  When we got to the pumpkin patch he seemed to have fun walking around the whole area and trying to pick up all different pumpkins.  We picked out a few smaller ones for him, held him up to him and he kept pointing to the same one, so Aiden was able “to pick his pumpkin”.  Then it was time for the hayride back.  He was more prepared and ready this time.  He walked right up to the stairs, we loaded him up there and he walked right to where we sat the first time.  After the ride was over, he got down and walked right to where he was to step down.  I think once he figured it out he liked it!  Every time he hears or sees mowers, tractors, or other farm machinery he loves watching them so he had a ball being on a big tractor!

Becoming a Big Boy

Aiden is becoming quite the big boy this week!  (makes for one sad momma!)

Earlier this week we bought him a big boy potty so he can get used to it being in the bathroom and the look of it.  He has sat on it a few times to learn that is what you do.  I have read several blogs of people potty training their 18 month olds.  While I think that is good for them (and wish I could) I think listening and understanding your kids needs is the best way to go.  Right now Aiden can not say the word potty, so it would be hard to understand his need and help him go to the potty in public.  So we have chosen to have the potty for him to get used to looking at it and talking to him about it in the meantime.

Aiden has learned a few new words this week.  He has said thank (for thank you), wawa (for water), and baby (in reference to a baby book, nothing else!)  He is becoming quite the vocal man sometimes and I love it!

We have decided to put Aiden into a new car seat.  Now whether the car seat will become forward facing or rear facing is still being decided, he is moving up into a big boy car seat.  For the last 18 ½ months he has been in his very first car seat (the pumpkin seat as many refer to it).  Our small boy has finally gotten to the point where his little legs are starting to get squished so it is time to move him.  This whole time he has been in that recline baby position, so he will now be sitting up like a big boy!  I hope this will help the next time we take a longer car ride.  He is not a good traveler right now!

At his 18 month appointment today Aiden came in at a whopping 20.15lbs and 30 ¾ inch (this one seems pretty off from his last appt).  He is still chugging a long in his 5th percentile range.  Since he is following his own growth curve the doctor is quite happy with this.  She was quite impressed with his climbing skills, as he was climbing all three chairs and using the stepstool to get on to the table during the appointment!

This weekend if the weather stays nice we will head to the pumpkin patch to pick out hus pumpkins!

Painting

On Saturday we tried out a new adventure for Aiden.   We started painting.  So I made some home made paint (non toxic and edible just in case) and stripped him down to his diaper and we headed outside.

He seemed to know to put the paintbrush in the cup right away and then on to paper.  And then he started "painting" his shoes, towel, body, Adam and I.  We were prepared for this so it made it even more fun :)

Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy!

Words Words and more Words

Aiden has been quite the social bug with lots to say lately!  We have learned some new words in the last 4 or 5 days.  He is really all about the "b" words right now.  He says Bible and will bring us the Bible we read to him every night (at bedtime he gets a bible story and then another book) and then he will say book and bring us one of his many! I am especially proud that he knows his Bible is not just a "book"  :)  He will continually say belly button and lift up our shirts to point it out!  Now its not a perfect sounding belly button but definitely two words and that's what he is saying!  He still says ball all the time, and his bye bye are much clear when he speaks.  He loves his bye byes! He waves to every car that passes (even if we are inside the house and he is looking out the window!)  He has also started "bumping"  and gets very excited every time! If we try to high five him he will take our hands and try to make a fist and they say "bump", and you gotta make sure you bump with both hands!  If you only give him one he will start reach for the other.  He has also starting saying bite.  So feeding him and knowing his hunger has gotten a little easier that way.  He still hasn't quite understood the difference between bite and drink (he will point to his milk and Say bite, but we are getting there!)

Every week day we head to the high school to work the bookstore during lunch.  For this we go down to the main office first and then our lock boxes go into a shopping cart that he rides in down to the gym lobby.  This is his new favorite thing!  We walk into the office, he blows his kisses, then points to his shopping cart and he is ready to go!  A few days ago I had Aiden all loaded up and I was still there talking to Penny.  He looked directly at Penny and told her bye bye a few times while waving, he was ready to get his ride going!!!

Today we played with chalk for the first time on the driveway. I wrote with it once then he knew exactly what to do!  He colored a little bit.  Tasted it once and then went back to coloring!  Then he became the boy I knew, threw it down, watched it break and giggled!  Haha love him (as long as its not my dishes!)  On the driveway he also pulled out the bubbles (like he normally does) but today he called them bubbles!  So we can add that to the list.  This last week he really seems to be learning the "b" words, and I cant wait to see the next one he learns, whether its a "b" or not!

Amazement

Hello All,

I think my main word for motherhood right now is amazement.  Aiden literally amazes me everyday.  He has seemed to pick up so many things since this past weekend.  He now gives bumps (fist bumps instead of high fives) and will say bump when he does it. I think this just melts Adams heart :).  Aiden has started saying bite and seems more in tune with his actually hunger and letting us know.

Earlier today I said lets go out so he brought me his shoes and sat down for me to put them on and then got mine like her normally does.  But then for the first time today he grabbed my car keys and gave them to me so we could go out.  He just picked that up on his own!  So we headed to the park.  He walked down to the sidewalk and right to the water fountain to get a drink.  After that we headed around the building to the park (and he knows right where to go!).  The park we go to has two little swingsets I guess you would call them,.  They are two separate ones, each one enclosed by landscape pavers.   He played on the first one for a few minutes and then headed to the second one.  I guess its the simple things but it amazes how he walks over the little entrance to walk out and then walks over to the entrance in the other playset to play.  There is a little wall (think rock climbing wall for teeny tiny kids), on the bottom "step" there is a bunch of mulch, before he even steps on it he takes his hand to clean off the mulch so he can step on it.  So smart!

Aiden is at such a fun, exploring, climbing age!  It truly amazes me how he picks up on every little thing (which means Adam and I need to be more careful!!).  It is so cool to watch our little baby boy change and become *sniff* a full grown toddler.

This is all you need.

Today was one of the best talking moments Aiden has had so far.  When we woke up from his nap he didnt cry.  All he did was call for mama mama.  I walked in and his face lit up.  There are no words to express that joy.  Here is a short video we did tonight.  Hopefully this puts a little joy in your heart like what I felt for him today and always!

Way too long again!

Hello,

Its has been way too long again!  Summer has kept us busy...well Aiden climbing on everything has kept us busy!  Just a few days ago we took a trip out to New Jersey to watch my amazing cousin get married to her Prince charming.  It was a beautiful wedding and a fun reception that Aiden slept all the way through until about the last ten minutes!  I was positive he would be awake the whole night and dancing like he loves to do!  but I think the drive and lack of naps wore him out.  A few days before we were able to stay at my other cousins house.  Aiden was able to play with Nate and Cole (4 and almost 3) all day long.  He had a blast chasing after them, playing with all their toys, and laying on their big dogs.  It was a ton of fun to watch Aiden interact with his second cousins!  Such a blessing that he has them and were able to spend time with them (thanks Cathy and Scott!)

Aiden has changed so much in the last few months.  He has long blonde curly hair now...white white blonde!  He has all four molars in, the top four, bottom two and starting to work on the other bottom two.  His personality has developed so much!  He is such a goober!  He loves to laugh at just about everything! Now he laughs so hard he will cover his mouth or bend over to his knees :) It has to be one of the cutest things ever!  He loves little girls and his new way of flirting is to walk up to them and sit down (which is fine by this mama!!!)

As soon as the trip was over Adam started school.  For those not aware, the school year started on 8-9-2012 this year.  Very early!  I am back running the bookstore (all by myself this year...a huge undertaking!).  The first week has proved way busier then predicted.  It is a perfect escape for Aiden to get to see his daddy during the day.  (the bookstore is only open during lunch, so he gets to hang out with Adam)

Hopefully the blog will get into my weekly routine now that we are starting one again.  Starting school is quite an adjustment and Aiden has really noticed daddy being gone by hitting (which is fun for me!)  But I am sure by this time next week our new routine will be like clockwork!

We are still loving our Tenn house and spent some time this summer trying to make it more homey.  (Pinterest is my new friend!!!)

We can not believe that it has already been a year in Tenn!  The first few months were quite the whirlwind for us and I dont think we have slowed down!  A huge thank you to our family for helping with this adjustment and to our new Tenn family who love and adore our son so much.  We could not ask for better people down here!

We are very excited to see where this next year takes us.  In the last year we have had many many changes...we are now ready to get more settled in our home and church home.  Cant wait to meet more friends, see how the next basbeball season excels, and watch our little man change and grow!

Ball? Ball?

Its been a little bit but Aiden has learned a few new words...Ball being the main one! Like I have said he goes running to the door if he hears it open...now accompanied with the word ball?  Always with a question and always ready to find one! His current favorite balls are tennis balls.  He can hold them easily, they bounce, and they roll fast down the driveway as mommny or daddy try to chase them (he is just laughing the whole way).

Like I have said before he is just such a personality and is becoming more so everyday! He loves to do things to make you laugh and loves to imitate whatever you are doing (which Im sure could get us in trouble at some point), but if you clap or laugh he loves to do those back to you!

He had his 15 month appt a little bit ago and he is growing!  He is now 30 inches and 19.5 lbs. Pretty small but a huge jump for him.  He was in the bottom 2 percentile for his height and weight and now jumped up to about the 15th percentile.  We are very happy about those results!  He is still facing backwards in the carseat and will be until at least 18 months if not 2 years old.

He had his first big person pool experience the other day and was a little nervous.  When he was swimming around with daddy he was good, but once he got out of the pool he was done and not interested in going back in!  We are ready for Uncle Blake or Aunt Brit to teach him how to swim soon!

Yesterday we went to Cumberland Caverns here in town.  It is a big national landmark and has over 32 miles of caves.   We took a tour of a small section of the cave.  Not sure what Aiden thought but Adam and I were pretty impressed!

I will end this with the few new "tricks" Aiden has learned.  When you sing shake, shake, shake Aiden starts dancing and head bobbing (super cute!)  And he blows kisses (grandpa and grandma childs got to witness the first ones on skype last night)  he has a weird version before but now he really seems to know what he is doing!

So here is Aiden blowing a kiss to all of you!

Too long

It has been way too long since a posting...I do apologize! May found un incredibly busy as Adam wrapped up an amazing baseball season. They finished the season with 21 wins and advancing to sub-state for the first time in 20 years. So we were quite busy with lots of celebration! So far this summer we have kept aiden busy with lots of outdoor time and playing in the little pool we bought him...he spends his day walking around the inside of the pool, sitting on daddy's lap and tossing his mini water baseballs to daddy. He sure has found a new love in picking up a baseball and trying to throw...we did not push him into this at all! I am sure all the days at the ball field have helped! Aiden is now saying up and loves sitting on the couch or on our chairs on the front porch like a big boy :). He is still walking like crazy and trying a lot harder to run and move faster, ESP when he hears a door open! Aiden has now gotten one of his back molars and the other one is working hard at coming in! We took aiden to gaitlinburg for the first time this past weekend. He got completely spoiled, no set bed time and lots of running around! :). We took him to his very first aquarium visit. He loved looking at the big sharks they had ( quite an exhibit!). He was a great stroller rider while Adam and I got tons of walking in! Aiden also "played" his first game of putt putt, with a putter his size and all, grandpa child's would be so proud! Again I think Adam and I had more fun with that then he did! I think that catches people up a little bit since the last month! Pictures to come from our trip!

Pot bellied Pigs

Today was agriculture and tractor day at the school (yes we are definitely in the south now!) so I took Aiden to the highschool to check things out.  Besides the tractors which we didnt really look at, people had brought their show animals in.  Aiden got to see and pet some new animals for the first time! He was not a fan of the pigs!  He would not pet them or get close to them, he would just snuggle into my arms.  I then took him over the the horses.  He pet them a few times but didnt seem to be in love with them.  They might have been a little big for him!!  we then moved on to the chickens and roosters. he was not a fan of either and I dont blame him.  They were making lots of noises so I think that might have scared him a little bit.
the last animals we saw and my favorite of the ones there were little bunnies.  They were little babies and super soft.  Aiden touched them a few times and then would snuggle in my arms real quick.  He seemed more intrigued by their cage. He would open and close the cage several times.  A few times he tried to reach into them, but could not reach down that far.
I hope he learns to love animals as he grows up, but he doesnt have to raise them and show them! :)
It was a fun break from our normal routine and a great way to show Aiden some different things, it was all outside so at least I know he enjoyed that part!

When I grow up

I am constantly amazed by how quickly Aiden picks things up.   Just this morning we were playing in his room and I went to put a CD in his music player for him to listen to.  He watched me do it the crawled over and started opening the player putting the cd in, closing it, press play, and repeat the process all over again.  Just amazing he watched me once!  And of course while doing this he has a serious look on his face and that tongue popping out of his mouth (Childs trait!).
It made me realize as I watched him do this and then play with other toys what he might be when he grows up.  So far he loves to open and close things, loves to pull items out and then put them back in (hopeful this will lead to putting his toys away later!).  He really seems to like to do stuff with his hands, seems mesmerized at times picking this up and looking at his hands and how he did it.
I have no idea what he will be when he grows up but I do know this, Adam and I are going to encourage his dreams and teach him that he can be and do whatever he puts his mind to.  I may be biased but there is no doubt in my mind that I have a smart amazing fun little boy!

Farmers Tan

We had another exciting weekend of baseball.  Yesterday was spent at a gorgeous ball park.  We were surrounded by lush trees, big lake, and the mountains...Gorgeous!!!  The day was spent at the ballpark as the first game was at 10 followed right by another game at 12.  All day Aiden wanted to climb up the stadium stairs, we did this several times!  He has taught himself how to go down stairs on his belly, but his new favorite thing is to hold Adam or I 's hand and be a big boy and walk down the stairs.  His legs are a little short for this though!  After being in the sun most of the day and lots of sunscreen our little boy has a cute little tan (more then I can say for myself! I have a nice shade of red :) ).  While taking his shirt off tonight to get ready for bathtime we have noticed a nice little farmers tan!  Too cute!!  So if you can picture this, really blonde hair (seems to have gotten lighter by the sun), tan arms and face and a white pot belly!

Aiden seems to be much more of a personality these days!  He is so funny and seems to crack himself up.  He laughs all the time!  He will other people laughing and just starts giggling.  He is extremely ticklish, almost any spot gets a good giggle out of him.  These last couple of days he starts laughing so hard he gives himself the hiccups.  So here I am just tickling away on a little boy who is laughing hard between his hiccups!

He is becoming much more a toddler everyday by his actions.  We had our first full on tantrum the other day, head on the floor screaming and everything.  After about a minute he pops his head up, looks at me and then smiles (yep i think im in trouble!).  He seems to smile all day long and definitely has a mischievous smile about him when he is doing something he knows he shouldnt be doing, oh they learn so young!

Another busy week of baseball games so I am sure the farmers tan will get darker!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful easter weekend.  My parents came down to see us and were able to witness Aiden taking his first steps!  Our little baby suddenly seems so big and kind of fits the toddler name now!  I still can not think of him as a toddler!!  But his first steps were about 6 in a row...what he will do for an m&m.  A few minutes later he took 11 steps in a row.  All week so far he has been taking steps here and there. He will not just stand up and start walking yet.  He does pull himself up and then will let go and start walking, everyday he seems to do a little more.
Boy does he love being outside!  I always knew this, every since he was a newborn, if you took him outside to get some fresh air it was his instant calm.  He took many walks with Grandpa Childs when crying!  Yesterday was my first real example of how hard this upcoming winter will be on him.  We have had some incredible weather this last month and half (as almost everyone has!)  and we have been outside everyday.  We take almost daily walks and Adam has had a game almost everyday that we have been able to go to.  Yesterday was chilly and windy, so no morning walk.  After his afternoon nap he went crawling to the door and would just cry until we went out.  So we went outside in several small increments and all he wanted to do was walk up and down our sidewalk holding my hand.  Too cute!!  I know it will change as he gets older but I am loving every moment that he is walking now, because he almost always wants to hold my hand!
I cant believe how fast these last 13 months have gone by, and esp the last several here in Tenn.  Its been amazing how much he has changed. We moved down here and he was waking up every two hours at night and not crawling or talking.  Now he will sleep 10 to 11 hours at night (waited a long time for this one!!!!), hes crawling so fast and now walking, and he is talking.  He says mama, dada, byebye, and I swear he says pa when we talk about Grandpa Childs.  He is such an amazing little guy and I am so lucky to be at home to witness these amazing changes.

I plan to be getting on more often to keep everyone in the loop with our lives.

So here it goes...
Adam and I have a very busy 2011 and start to our 2012 so i figured it was about time I started a blog to keep people up to date on our busy lives!  In 2011 I decided to take on a few new roles; mother, homemaker, and tennessee resident.  Adam took on a few new roles also; father, tenn resident, and HEAD baseball coach (his dream job.)
2011 brought us our biggest and most amazing change in our life.  On Feb 28 our beautiful little boy Aiden henry was born.  He has brought so much happiness and joy into our lives and we could not feel more blessed.  He has such a fun spirit and is so goofy! I am sure most of this blog will be about him!
After Aiden was born i quit my job and decided to take on being a full time mommy and that has been quite a change!  I was able to spend the summer relaxing with Adam and Aiden before our next huge change happened!  In August Adam accepted a math and head baseball job in McMinnville, TN.  He interviewed on a Monday (got offered the job that day), took the job on Friday, and the following Wed we moved.  Needless to say we had a very hectic week and half. We left the first house we ever owned, the good friends we had made in Franklin, and the first place we had brought our baby boy home too.  It was a bittersweet move.
We have settled in here at TN and bought a house we love.  Our son has now turned one and we are at the baseball field about everyday watching daddy!  Adam is loving his team and the amazing effort the boys are putting in.  Everyone here has been amazing to us and so loving to our little boy. I could not ask for better baseball parents to welcome us into their community.

That is a breif glimpse on our last year.  Hopefully these next blogs will be better and help fill people in on us!
